An Exploration of flora and fauna, and of course many many Birds

This trip begins in the relatively high altitude forests of the Bhutan Himalaya. Though birding is the aim of the tour, we will take time throughout to tour some of the more outstanding Buddhist monasteries and monuments. The combination of Bhutan's exotic culture harmoniously integrated with the natural landscapes – all unscarred by modernization make bird watching in Bhutan simply unbeatable. Villages and towns are almost always small, surrounded by intact old growth forests. The sites we have designated for birding are connected by roads that see almost no traffic, thus affording easy access to bird habitats.

Day 04: Drive to Punakha/ Wangdi, afternoon excursion and visits
Day 05: Drive to Gangtey
Day 06: Drive to Tongsa
Day 07: Drive to Bumthang
Day 08: Drive to Sengor
Day 09: Drive to Mongar
Day 10: Drive to Tashigang
Day 11: Drive to Samdrupjongkhar
Day 12: Drive to Gauhati airport for flight to Delhi/Kolkotta
