This exciting new trip combines an in-depth appreciation of Bhutan’s cultural attractions with a moderate to strenuous four-day trek along a mountain ridge between the Paro and Haa valleys of western Bhutan.
This itinerary, which is exclusive to Eastern Horizons, offers scenic panoramic vistas of secret mountain Jumolhari, 7314 meters (23,990ft) and other Himalayan peaks and also the view of the valleys themselves. Haa Valley has only recently been opened to limited travel and you may not see another soul as you hike our un-trodden trails or otherwise ‘path less taken’!!!
Bhutan will enchant you with its natural beauty, a colorful kaleidoscope of yellow mustard fields, bright red chilies drying on roof tops, neat white-washed homes tucked away on terraced rice and buckwheat patches, and high passes marked by masses of fluttering prayer flags, and you will be no less entranced by the generous, welcoming attitude of its unassuming people, who have not rejected their spiritual heritage for modern ways.
